Artist's Comments

The drapery in this piece took forever and a day, frustrating work. I'm not really sure how I like it. I wanted to keep the rest of the piece in black and white, with the globe as the only object of color. Done is soft pastels and charcoal.

I love the subtle shading on the cloth backdrop and the warm tones on the globe. I'm currently doing battle with a conte crayon landscape, so I'm realizing what it takes to do this. Great work.

Thanks. Good luck on your landscape! :)

Oh wow thats great. It looks so real. I love the background and how you've got all the creases and stuff. And the shading is amazing. Youve got some amazing stuff here. Keep it up!

Thank you!! :) :) It took me awhile to do this. About halfway it looked like a complete disaster, I'm glad it turned out okay. And I'm also glad I didn't get frustrated and put an x on the whole piece! lol, I was so close and the black marker was calling out to me from my art kit!
